Walailak University Submits Data for THE Impact Rankings 2024.



Professor Doctor Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, submitted data for the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2024 on November 8, witnessed by the executive team, including vice presidents, deans, center directors, section heads, and staff of Walailak University. The event took place at Khaoluang Chamber, Cooperative Education Building.

Walailak University places emphasis on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and has consistently submitted data to be ranked globally by THE Impact Rankings.

In 2023, Walailak University was ranked 401-600 worldwide, moving up 200 places from from its 2022 ranking of 601-800. The achievement placed the university at joint 10th in Thailand.  

Four SDGs that were ranked among the world's top 100 for the first time in 2023 consist of SDG2, SDG6, SDG11, and SDG14.
 
For the year 2024, Walailak University has submitted data for consideration in the THE Impact Rankings for eight SDGs, consisting of SDG2: Zero Hunger, SDG3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG4: Quality Education, SDG6: Clean Water and Sanitation, SDG11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, SDG12: Responsible Consumption and Production, SDG14: Life Below Water, and SDG17: Partnerships for the Goals. 

The results of THE Impact Rankings 2024 are set to be announced in June next year.
