Walailak University Welcomes Esteemed Professor for Inspiring Visit



School of Allied Health Sciences, Walailak University, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand had the honor of hosting Prof. Nazim Sekeroglu, Gaziantep University, Türkiye, a renowned expert in “Medicinal and Aromatic Plants”, for a captivating visit on 6 to 7 November 2023. The visit left an indelible mark on the university community, inspiring students and faculty members alike.

"We are incredibly grateful to have had Professor Nazim visit our university," said Assoc. Prof. Surin Maisrikrod, Vice President of Walailak University. "His visit has not only broadened our academic horizons but has also inspired us to strive for excellence in our respective fields." said Assoc. Prof. Voravuth Somsak, Dean School of Allied Health Sciences.

The visit by Prof.Nazim serves as a testament to Walailak University's commitment to providing its students with access to distinguished scholars and thought leaders. It reinforces the university's mission to foster an international environment.

During the visit, School of Allied Health Sciences led by Assoc. Prof. Jitbanjong Tangpong, Asst. Prof. Orawan Sarakul-Vice Dean, Asst. Prof. Nurdina Charong-Head of Medical Technology Department, Asst. Prof. Sirirat Surinkeaw, and Asst. Prof. Rachasak Boonhok-Asst Dean, including faculty members of the school and two representative students i.e. Natcha Kittiwattananit and Kuntapong Raktaengam provided the Walailak University tour visiting the smart classroom, smart lab, research excellence center, physical therapy clinic, Walailak University hospital, BOTA garden and city tour to enjoy the Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan, museum, and Southern Thai food.

He engaged with students and faculty members, sharing personal experiences and offering guidance to aspiring scholars. His dedication to nurturing the next generation of academics was evident throughout his interactions. Walailak University extends its heartfelt appreciation to Prof. Nazim for his invaluable contribution to the university community.
