Walailak Park was built in 2017 with the initiative of Prof. Dr.
Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University: Walailak Land of Glory.
Walailak Park offers a serene recreational site for everyone,
including university personnel such as faculty, staff, and students, as well as the local
community of Tha Sala District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, and neighboring provinces.
Visitors from both near and far can delight in its natural beauty. With the opening of
Walailak University Hospital, the park has become an oasis of rest and rejuvenation for
people using the hospital's services, offering respite for both the body and the mind.
Located at the entrance of Walailak University, opposite Walailak
University Hospital, Walailak Park has a total area of 100.82 acres (40.8 hectares). The
park is divided into 51.4 acres (20.8 hectares) of water and 49.42 acres (20 hectares) of
land. Inside the park, there is a golden Manorah yard, as well as a water terrace where
visitors can relax and feed the fish. Visitors can enjoy a spectacular view of Khao Luang
National Park at sunset, which provides a stunning backdrop.
