On May 6, 2026, Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, together with the university’s executives, welcomed parents of newly admitted students during the New Student Orientation and Preparation Program for the 2026 academic year.

The event aimed to reaffirm parents’ confidence in choosing a world-class institution for their children’s higher education. More than 3,500 participants attended the event at the Main Auditorium of Thaiburi Building, Lecture Building 5, and Lecture Building 3 at Walailak University.

During a special lecture titled “Walailak 2026: A World-Class University and Its Commitment to Student Care,” Professor Dr. Sombat highlighted the university’s continued development and achievements.
