Walailak University (WU) extends partnership with Nuertingen-Geislingen University (NGU), Germany

 

Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University had been invited by Prof. Dr. Andreas Frey, Rector of Nuertingen-Geislingen University, to visit NGU University in Nuertingen, Germany. Accompanied with President Sombat were 1) Asst. Prof. Dr. Patnarin Supakorn, Director of Center for International Affairs, 2) Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siwarit Pongsakornrungsilp, Dean of the School of Management, 3) Dr. Neeranat Kaewprasert Rakangthong, Director of the Center for Academic Services and lecturer of the School of Accountancy and Finance, 4) Asst. Prof. Dr. Siriwatchana Kaeophanuek, Head of Digital Content and Media Program, Informatics and 5) Asst. Prof. Dr. Chaowanan Khundam Head of Multimedia and Animation Technology Program, School of Informatics.

The WU visiting group arrived at Nuertingen on September 8 th and had been warmly welcomed by Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Carola Pekrun and Prof. Dr. Iris Ramme, Director International Affairs and their colleagues. The reason for the visit was to expand cooperation in staff and student mobility, and research collaboration in the fields of management and finance as well as offering some international short course programs, block-courses taught in English to facilitate mobilization of incoming and outgoing students. The relevant lecturers of the two parties met and exchanged their possibility of collaborations which will be led to further agreements between the two institutions. The visiting group has also been taken to visit NGU university farm and the Unter den Eichen Campus and the Kurt-Schumacher-Ring Campus.
