Awards

Walailak University's Center for Cooperative Education, Center for International Foreign Affairs, and Division of Corporate Communication receive the 5S Model Award 2022.

Walailak University's representatives: Associate Professor Dr. Voravuth Somsak, Acting Vice President and Chairman of the 5S board of directors; Dr. Attanan Tachopisalwong, Director of the Center for Cooperative Education and Career Development; Assistant Professor Dr. Patnarin Supakorn, Director of Center for International Affairs; and Assistant Professor Dr. Fareeda Jeh-oh, Assistant to the President managing Division of Corporate Communication, received the 5S Model Award in Thailand 5s Award 2022, in Bangkok.

WU 5S Green Project, a project which WU’s President Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong emphasized, is one of the projects the University has been doing to build a high-performance organization and increase the efficiency of its personnel. The 5s tools aim to create a tidy workplace, improve workers' physical and mental health, and create a good working environment. 

As a part of the University's Culture, Walailak University has been using the 5S tools regularly together with other tools to achieve a University’s goal – Happy High Performance Organization - until receiving the award this year. 

On this occasion, the WU's representatives received the honor from Professor Dr. Prasit Watanapa, Advisor to the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, to confer the awards. The event was organized by the Technology Promotion Association (Thailand-Japan) at Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre on 3 November 2022.
