The 3rd International Symposium on Construction Innovation Research & PhD Symposium

On behalf of the organizing committee, I would like to welcome you to the 3rd International Symposium on Construction Innovation Research & PhD Symposium (ISCIR 2022) via the webinar hosted by Walailak University, Thailand on 14-15 Jan, 2022. 

After the successful event of ISCIR series, the 1st ISCIR was organised in 2017 in Bangkok (ISCIR 2017), the 2nd ISCIR 2019 conference series was hosted to Walailak University, Nakorn Si Thammarat, and has become one of the most prestigious conferences on in Thailand. Due to the pandemic of Covid-19, the 3rd ISCIR has proposed to 2022. The 3rd ISCIR 2022 International Conference provides a forum for the exchange of knowledge and expertise on future sustainable development, sustainable construction materials, disasters and their environmental impact. The event is especially relevant for researchers, practitioners, engineers, and professionals working in these areas. The event supports the Winter Convention of the Thailand Structural Engineers Association (TSEA) and international research partners; University of Warwick (UW) and the University of Minho.

ISCIR 2022 is co-organized by Walailak University (WU), Thailand and the University of Warwick (UW), UK which is celebrating WU 30th Anniversary in 2022! To celebrate this, the conference includes a colloquium and a PhD symposium where Early Career Researchers can showcase their work to an international audience.

​The virtual ISCIR 2022 creates a stimulating forum for Early Career Researchers (ECRs and PhD students) to discuss the latest scientific developments with established experts in the field. It also offers an opportunity to network with other international researchers, exchange knowledge and promote collaboration and mobility. The conference theme is organized in a dedicated multi-disciplinary section of the conference that will enable a comprehensive debate of all the current and future challenges faced by the construction industry. Contributions from any of the areas below are requested from academics, researchers and PhD students. The high quality of the scientific contributions are ensured by a panel of international experts in these areas. ISCIR is for broad logical discourse, both intra-and interdisciplinary, among Universities, Colleges, Academicians and Department personnel through an assortment of Distinguished addresses, Plenary sessions, Workshops, Symposiums, Oral and Poster introductions, Virtual/Video presentations and Webinars.
