MUEANG, PHATTHALUNG, 19 December 2023 – Walailak University, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Chuthamat Rattikansukha and Asst.Prof. Jenjira Kaewrat, accompanied by the CAS team, and the Phatthalung Provincial Office of Natural Resources and Environment collaboratively organized the 5th meeting on the provincial climate change action plan development at the Phatthalung Provincial Office of Natural Resources and Environment. The meeting was presided over by Mr. Phusit Chanphet, Director of the Phatthalung Fisheries Provincial Office.
In the meeting, WU presented the measures and action plan for climate adaptation and the next operational plan for the development of the provincial action plan on climate change. This meeting was part of the project “The Capacity Development of the Provincial Office of Natural Resources and Environment,” which aims to establish cooperation between Walailak University and government organizations to collaboratively develop the provincial climate action plan on climate change. The project has also been implemented to meet the commitments of the Glasgow Climate Pact and Thailand’s Long-Term Low Greenhouse Gas Emission Development Strategy.
