Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University (WU), and Professor Dr. Thawatchai Suphadit, President of Nakhon Phanom University (NPU), have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote academic work, research, and teaching and learning from undergraduate to graduate levels. 

Signing the MoU as the witnesses were Associate Professor Dr. Warit Jawjit, Vice President of WU, and Assistant Professor Dr. Tanom Tathong, Vice President of NPU. 

The event took place on 12 October 2023 at Chopradu Chamber, Chulabhorn Wechawat Building, Walailak University Hospital, with the participation of executives from both institutions.

The purpose of the collaboration is to enhance academic staff, support staff, and students by exchanging knowledge, sharing academic resources, developing innovations and new knowledge, and facilitating joint teaching and learning activities from undergraduate to graduate levels.

Furthermore, both universities will collaborate to promote cooperation in providing academic services to society, organize academic conferences and seminars, and various other academic activities, both at the national and international levels, and facilitate the exchange of knowledge and technology between the universities over a period of five years.
