Five Walailak Researchers Featured in Stanford University's World's Top 2 Percent Scientists List 2023

Five researchers from Walailak University have been featured in Stanford University’s World's Top 2 Percent Scientists List 2023.

The World’s Top 2% Scientists List includes researchers from around the world whose Scopus-indexed publications are widely and internationally cited. Their research is acknowledged to have had a significant impact in their respective fields.

The data, released on 4 October 2023 on Elsevier Data Repository, is divided into two categories: career-long citation impact, counting citations until the end of the year 2022; and single-year citation impact, counting citations during the calendar year 2022.

Out of more than 200,000 top-cited scientists in each category, five researchers from Walailak University have earned their place on the list.

Two Walailak's researchers have been recognized in both categories: Associate Professor Dr. Manat Chaijan, from School of Agricultural Technology and Food Industry, in Food Science; and Associate Professor Veeranoot Nissapatorn, from School of Allied Health Sciences, in Tropical Medicine.

Three Walailak's researchers are listed in the single-year citation impact category: Associate Professor Dr. Nuttawit Wattanasakulpong, from School of Engineering and Technology, in Materials; Associate Professor Dr. Manas Kotepui, from School of Allied Health Sciences, in Tropical Medicine; and Dr. MD Eshrat E Alahi, from School of Engineering and Technology, in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.

Since 2021, Walailak's researchers have been featured in the World’s Top 2% Scientists List. Three researchers who have received recognition for three consecutive years are Associate Professor Dr. Manat Chaijan, Associate Professor Veeranoot Nissapatorn, and Associate Professor Dr. Nuttawit Wattanasakulpong.
