CIA organized a collaborative meeting between Walailak University and ITATS, Indonesia

On Tuesday, 25th January 2022, Assistant Professor Dr. Patnarin Supakorn, Acting Director of Center for International Affairs, Walailak University honor presented as a chairperson at a virtual collaborative meeting between Walailak University, Thailand and ITATS (Adhi Tama Institute of Technology Surabaya, Indonesia. The meeting focused on academic collaboration between the two universities, especially in research co-funding, joint publications, 2+2 program, student and staff exchange, international conference or symposium, online class teaching, and graduate program scholarship.

ITATS is a small private university in Surabaya, Indonesia - https://itats.ac.id/. The university was awarded on “Excellent Campus” by the Ministry of Education East Region for 10 years, “Best Private University for Institute Category”, and “Best Eco campus for Private University”. ITATS has successfully in organizing the International Conference on Advance Engineering and Technology or “ICATECH” in 2018, 2020, and 2021. The conference was organized annually and it is mainly for scientists, researchers, academicians and industry with specialties in the related area to share their knowledge and experience in Engineering, Design, Information System and Technology including to improve safety and sustainability in the construction and so on. The conference theme in 2018 was “Multidisciplinary Approach Towards Sustainable Technology and Industry”. In 2021 the them was “Empowering Research and Innovation for Sustainable Technology”, and in 2022 the them focused on “Opportunities and Challenges for Research and Technology Enhancement in Post-COVID-19 Era” . The conference was organized in September or October each year. ITATS offer various program in Engineering through 4 main faculties; Industrial Engineering (mechanical, dustrial, chemical), Civil Engineering and Planning (civil, architechure and product design, environmental), Electrical engineering and information technology (electrical, technical information, and information system), Mineral and marine technology (mining, marine). For graduate program, ITATS offer master program in industrial engineering and master program in environmental engineering. 

A virtual meeting was well participated by Assistant Prof. Dr. Sawanya Laohaprapanon, Assistant Prof. Dr. Nirachon Chutipattana, from the School of Public Health, Dr. Buntoeng Srikarun, and Dr. Suppakit Eiadtrong from the School of Engineering and Technology.
