Mr. Ongart Klampaiboon, Democrat Party's deputy leader, paid a visit to Walailak University and was impressed by the changes. Walailak University, he believed, will be able to develop to an international level in the future.

On his mission in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Mr. Ongart Klampaiboon visited Walailak University on October 28, 2021, and was greeted by Associate Professor Doctor Surin Maisrikrod, Vice-President for Foreign Affairs and Learning and Teaching Development.

Mr. Ongart Klampaiboon said that he had the opportunity to visit Walailak University today. Although he has not had time to visit every part of the university, he had noticed significant changes from a previous visit. Furthermore, he believed that these changes would make the university more international because universities must now be upgraded from domestic to international universities.

Mr. Ongart went on to say that for students to progress at a rate comparable to other universities, not just those in Thailand, the university's teaching and curriculum must improve for students to be more knowledgeable and competent. So, they can compete on a global level.

"Walailak University is a university in the region that has continuously developed itself; I believe the university will develop into a progressive university, capable of standing at the international level in the future", said Mr Ongart.
