The Center of Excellence for Ecoinformatics, School of Science held an online workshop on Climate Smart Agriculture: Smart Farming Practices

On 6 September 2021, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Surin Maisrikord, Vice President for Global Engagement and Faculty Development, Walailak University,  Dr. Kessara Amornvuthivorn, Program director of SEAMEO STEM ED, Ms. Duriya Amatavivat, Former Deputy Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Education and Asst. Prof. Dr. Patnarin Supakorn, Acting Director of Center for International Affairs, Walailak University gave welcoming speech to all participants joining  “Climate Smart Agriculture: Smart Farming Practices” online workshop. This workshop occurs under the collaboration of 4 key important partners which are Thai National Commission for UNESCO, SEAMEO STEM-ED, Chevron and Walailak University.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Krisanadej Jaroensutasinee, Director of Center of Excellence for Ecoinformatics and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mullica Jaroensutasinee, Dean of School of Science are the trainer of this workshop. Both trainers are the leading scientists in climate smart agriculture in Asia Pacific region. The online workshop duration is 6-24 September 2021, with 65 participants from 8 countries. Lecture includes agricultural management in cultivated area, soil, water and technology for productive system and increasing productivity. Online trip, via live streaming from Tubtim Siam Pomelo farm in Pak Phanang District and mangosteen farm in Lan Saka District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, will be organized in order to allow participants to observe real farm management.
