Walailak University's Center for International Affairs recently welcomed seven medical students from Ohio State University for their medical rotation at Walailak University Hospital and Sichon Hospital. Since 2015, the exchange program has hosted a total of 33 students from Ohio State University.
Yesterday, the students were greeted by staff from the Center for International Affairs and given a tour of the university's facilities, including the medical laboratory and gross anatomy room, to observe how the labs are operated. They also visited the Walailak Botanic Park.
The program, which runs from 6 - 24 February 2023, offers medical students the opportunity to experience a different hospital system, gain hands-on medical practice, and understand aspects of community medicine as well as healthcare delivery in Thailand.
This exchange program demonstrates Walailak University's commitment to promoting quality medical education and highlights the strong partnership between Walailak University, Sichon Hospital, and Ohio State University.
