MP Prakob Rattanaphan Praises the Rapid Growth of Walailak University “a Piece of Pride for People in Nakhon Si Thammarat”



On 23 January 2023, Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, the President of Walailak University, together with the management team welcomed Mr. Prakob Rattanaphan, a member of the House of Representatives, Democrat Party, from Nakhon Si Thammarat Province; an advisor to the commission on education; and an advisor to the commission on solving agricultural product price problems, the House of Representatives, and delegates who came to visit Walailak University Hospital and the Kaem Ling Reservoir Construction Project.
 
     Mr. Prakob said after visiting the site, “As a representative of the people of Nakhon Si Thammarat, I am pleased and appreciate the development of Walailak University that happened rapidly under the leadership of President Sombat during the past six years.” 
 
     Walailak University Hospital which is now ready to provide services to all people and the hospice for monks that is being constructed will serve as an important mechanism in improving the health of people in Nakhon Si Thammarat and the upper south region. 

     MP Prakob also congratulated Walailak University on being ranked in Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023 at 1501+ among universities worldwide, translated to 11th in Thailand. Morever, Walailak University adopted the UK professional Standard Framework (UKPSF) to enhance its teaching to produce quality graduates. This is considered a piece of pride for people in Nakhon Si Thammarat and meets the needs of those who want this university to be a quality university and be recognized both nationally and globally.
